Farmer's Daughter Blonde Ale by Whitewater Brewing Co

Updated: Jul 10

Welcome to Beers and Such, the world's greatest craft beer review blog brought to you by yours truly, where I bravely drink craft beer and tell you all about it. It's a serious sacrifice on my part, but I'm happy to do what I can to be of service to you, my fellow craft beer adventurers.

Today I'm taking a taste of a Farmer's Daughter Blonde Ale by Whitewater Brewing Co in Foresters Falls, Ontario. I have no idea where that is, but the can makes mention of Ottawa Valley, Ontario so I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's around or possibly in a valley in Ontario.

This lovely lady is indeed blonde, and carries a nice malty scent. It's lightly carbonated, she's a decent 5%, and from the look of her, she's going to be a beauty.

I don't want to be that guy that just stares at a lovely lady until it's super creepy, so I'll get on with it and give her a taste. That's still creepy...

It's malty through the opening and even into the middle. I don't taste any hops, but the ingredients listed on the can assure me they are in there. As for an after taste, it's a bit sticky, but not unpleasant. I would say it's pretty heavy handed as far as mouth feel goes, but that's not a bad thing in this case.

She leaves no doubt she's an ale, that's for sure.

All in all, I like this beer. It's bold malt flavour is unapologetic and rich. It lets you know it's a solid drink and you'll be happy to get a few in you. I see this one as a nice end to a hard day. Once all the work is done, grab a Farmer's Daughter and head into your man cave, throw on a hockey game, and let the good times roll.

I would think this lovely lady would be right at home in a standard pint glass, nothing fancy for this had working lass.

My rating: 7.5/10. It's tasty and it's a solid drink.

My lovely wife is my second sipper and she's glad to be sipping a non-IPA for this one.

My wife's rating: 4/10. That's pretty high for her.

There you have it, friends. Farmer's Daughter Blonde Ale brought to you by Whitewater Brewing Co over in Foresters Falls, Ontario is a hearty ale that will not be mistaken for anything other than what it is. I respect that. Check out whitewaterbeer.ca for more from these fine folks.
