Chin Dropper Blonde Ale by Prince Eddy's Brewing Company

Welcome to Beers and Such, the craft beer review site where we look at craft beers, and occasionally some non-beer related stuff. In the interest of full disclosure, up to this point, there hasn't been much of the non-beer related stuff, but that could change at any time. Possibly...

Today I'm going to be having a look at Chin Dropper Blonde Ale by Prince Eddy's Brewing Company in Picton, Ontario. It's light, coming in at 4.7%, it's crystal clear despite the unfiltered

description on the can, and it smells pretty good. The blurb on the can says it has a tropical aroma, but I'm not picking that up personally.

What's that? How does it taste? Well let me get to that already.

Well, it's light alright. It's hop-less for the most part, and has a light malt flavour through the middle stages, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. It's an ale for sure, and a good one, too. It may have a slight tinny taste in the later stages, but over all it's good, it's clean, and it's crisp.

There's not a bad spot for this beer to be enjoyed, unless a judge has ordered you to refrain from partaking or there's a danger to you or someone else. I can see this beer making friends at a BBQ, at a baseball game, or just sitting around with the boys having a couple pops. It's easy going and lends itself to good times.

And at 4.7%, there's a chance you might just remember your whole night dancing with this pretty blonde.

I am certain this beer fits in a standard pint glass, so if you happen to have a few of those around, this beer will be right at home.

My rating : 7.5/10 It's good, it's light, and will do what you want it to do.

My lovely wife is my second sipper, always happy to provide a non-beer drinker's opinion on the taste of a beer.

My wife's rating : 3/10. That might seem low, but she doesn't like beer, so that's not a bad grade.

There you have it, friends. Chin Dropper Blonde Ale by Prince Eddy's Brewing Company over in Picton, Ontario makes a fine blonde ale. You should try it. Check out princeeddys.com for more of what these fine folks have to offer.
